WEST Felton Downhill Mountain biker Matthew Walker has just completed his first year competing in the Pearce Cycles DH Championships finishing fifth overall picking up some podium positions along the way.
Matthew was seventh at Llangollen, fifth at Moelfre and second at the Midland Champs Hopton.
He is sponsored by RockGuardZ who make carbon fibre frame protectors for mountain bikes.
Next year Matt is setting his sights on the Pearce Cycles Championships along with he British Downhill Series which will see him race all over the country including he World Downhill Mtb track at Fort Williams in Scotland. As he is just 13 years old he will compete in the same class for 2013 which should see him as one of the top favourites for the championship as many of his competitors from this year will have moved to to the youth class
