Police are appealing for information about a man linked to the theft of a van in Oswestry yesterday morning (Wednesday).
The attempted theft of the silver Vauxhall Vivaro van on Roft Street was reported to police at 11.10am.
Upon their arrival at the scene, officers arrested one suspect, while another drove off in the vehicle.
Around two hours later, officers spotted the van in a residents' car park to the rear of Lime Grove and College Road, where two males fled the scene.
One man was arrested nearby, while the other man, a white male wearing a dark top and grey bottoms, escaped.
A West Mercia Police spokesman said: "Power tools and personal protective equipment were removed from the vehicle and some of it has been recovered by the police in the Lime Grove area.
"Immediately before the police arrived, there had also been some suspicious activity in the Hazel Grove area with males running around carrying power tools.
