THE Football Association of Wales has announced that no further action will be taken against The New Saints following a smoke bomb incident.

The smoke bomb was let off in the clubhouse toilets after the Welsh Premier League game between Bangor City and The New Saints on April 18 last season.

A club spokesperson for The New Saints said: “We are pleased to have been cleared of all blame and consider the matter to now be closed. The New Saints are proud of our supporters and do not condone behaviour of this kind under any circumstances. We support the position that FAW has taken and will vigorously investigate any further such incidents.”

The New Saints would like to remind all supporters that it is illegal to enter a football ground with flares or any other pyrotechnic devices. Any supporter being in possession of one risks a prison sentence and a lengthy banning order.
