ONE of the Oswestry area’s biggest sports charity events takes place this Bank Holiday Sunday when the Bedouins Cricket Club stage their annual charity day at Oswestry’s Morda Road ground.
So far the Bedouins have raised more than £25,000 for charity, and the organisation which will benefit from this year’s event is the Isabelle Lottie Foundation.
The six-team cricket competition gets under way at 10am, with the fun day starting at 1pm. A fun video promoting the fun day has been created and uploaded to YouTube.
All the usual sideshows will be there, and the evening will feature live music by Still Standing.
The day will be rounded off by a special cabaret act which the Bedouins promise will even surpass last year’s Full Monty extravaganza!
