MORE than 220 music and beer lovers turned up to the Stonehouse Live Ale festival to raise cash for the British Heart Foundation.
Plenty of real ale was flowing and live music was on the go throughout the day, right through until around 10pm.
Despite weather warnings, the day was a huge success and £2,610 was raised for charity.
Organiser Olly Morgan said the day was “really fabulous.”
“The weather held out thankfully and the sun came out,” he said.
“It did rain at one point but everyone crammed inside to watch the raffle being drawn.
“The rain didn’t last for long though, and soon everyone was back outside dancing to the bands.”
Olly and his friends got the idea for the festival as they were doing a bike-ride for charity, they thought a beer festival would be a great fundraising idea.
He added: “We’re still getting phonecalls from people who came saying what a great day it was. Hopefully there will be more events to come as this one was such a success.”
