A 12-YEAR-OLD schoolboy has been selected to represent the Great Britain Ski Team after also winning the Welsh Alpine Championships staged in Switzerland last week.
Ryan Brown, from Chirk Bank, who graduated from Moreton Firsts last year, spends most of his time in Italy where he has been skiing at one with the country’s snow covered mountain peaks since first taking to the slopes at the age of three.
Now the youngster is preparing to jet off to Slovenia to ski for Team GB after catching the eye of selectors on the back of his results last season, which also ncluded an impressive second place finish in his age group at the British
Championships staged in Italy during December.
“It is hard work but a lot of fun,” said Ryan from his Italian home in the Alps at the Monterosa Ski region of Champoluc. “My dream is to be in the Winter Olympics in
2018.”
