TWO of Stephanie Booth’s hotels remain on track to be sold early in 2012.
Selling agents Colliers International confirmed the sales process for the Bryn Howel and Wild Pheasant Hotels, Llangollen, was drawing towards a conclusion with negotiations being carried out for their takeovers.
Both hotels have been up for sale since the summer of 2011 when Llangollen Hotel Group and its parent company, Global Investment Group, entered administration.
Their impending sales follow a takeover being completed for Bodidris Hall Hotel by South Wales-based Dr Dilys Davies in November, with it looking likely only the Chainbridge Hotel will remain on the market.
Neil Thomson, director for Colliers International, said the deals are now in the hands of solicitors.
He said: “Sales are progressing well and we are hopeful they will be completed in the next few weeks.
“Things are certainly falling into place.
“We would still welcome any interested parties in the Chainbridge Hotel to come forward.”
The sales for Bryn Howel and the Wild Pheasant are expected to be completed in late January or early February.
No information will be released on the prospective owners of the two hotels until the takeover process is concluded.
All four hotels up for sale reported trading profits in 2010-11.
More than 100 staff are employed at the hotels, which have all continued to operate.
Another hotel, The Wynnstay Arms, Wrexham, closed suddenly when the four hotels were placed up for sale.
Two other hotels, The Chester Bridge Hotel, Chester, and The Anchor Hotel, Ruthin, are in the hands of landlords and Mrs Booth has vowed to take an increasingly hands-on approach.
