EIGHT Anglesey and Gwynedd post offices will be given cash to expand their services.
Welsh Local Government Minister Carl Sargeant announced £849,658 of Welsh assembly funding for post offices in Menai Bridge, Y Felinheli, Bethel, Valley, Dolgellau, Bethesda, Criccieth and Trawsfynydd.
A further 79 post offices from across Wales will also share the money.
The grants were awarded under the Post Office Diversification Fund to expand their businesses and provide new services for the community.
The funding will help upgrade premises, improve security and stocking new retail products.
The Post Office Diversification Fund is closed to further applications while it is independently evaluated.
An evaluation report will be published in the autumn.
