FOLLOWING last week’s outstanding A-level results, Thomas Adams School, Wem was again celebrating another set of best ever results this week for GCSE, with 83per cent of its students gaining five or more A*-C grades.
A delighted Headteacher, Neil Hemming, congratulated both students and staff at the school.
He said: “These excellent results reflect the tremendous amount of hard work put in during the course of the year by both students and staff,” he said, “We are especially pleased that our headline figures for the cohort exceeded the ambitious statutory targets, set in conjunction with the local authority, by some margin. Indeed, these results represent, on average, in excess of 3 A*, three A and two B grades at GCSE, or equivalent, for each of our students.”
