This April, Oswestry Musical Theatre Company will be bringing Stephen Sondheim's smash musical 'Into the Woods' to the town.

Sondheim's complex storyline tells of four central characters Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (of beanstalk fame) and the childless Baker and his wife. Each embarking on a journey 'Into the Woods' to try and fulfil their respective dreams and the way their individual stories cross and intertwine with each other . As to be expected with Stephen Sondheim, things are far from being 'Happy Ever After'.

The shows director Kate MacDonald said "We are really excited to be bringing such a classic show as 'Into the Woods' to Oswestry, the show which, contains many new younger members of the company is coming along well and we are looking forward to producing a top class show for the people of Oswestry and its surrounding area".

The show opens on the 12th April at Marches School Theatre and has four performances: 12th April 7:30pm, 13th April 7:30pm and the 14th April 2:30pm & 7:30pm.

Tickets priced £12.00/£8.00 are now on sale; in person from Christian Jewellers, Bailey St, Oswestry and online from www.ticketsource.co.uk/omtc.
