THE date and line-up for this year's Oswestry Music Live have been set.
Sunday, July 20 will be the night when the cream of Oswestry's musical talent will come together for what promises to be a bigger and more locally focussed event, showcasing the best home-grown songwriters and bands.

So far, the Oswestry contingent line-up is as follows:

The Kayas, one of the most well established Oswestry acts on the bill and Music Live veterans. With influences including the Sex Pistols and
Oasis, their unique indie stylings always prove popular.

Shameless Faith, an Oswestry five-piece indie act who will be looking to continue to make waves after recently playing Liverpool's Cavern Club with their sound which they describe as a blend of early Cult and U2.

The Mark Morgan Band, lead by frontman, guitarist vocalist and songwriter Mark Morgan will slow things down with their acoustic sound influenced by Pearl Jam, Jack Johnson and Jeff Buckley.

Small Town Crooks, a four-piece rock act will turn up the volume with their influences such as Counting Crows, Foo Fighters and Snow Patrol.

Other acts include:
The Cut Outs, from London,
Trader, from Wrexham,
Patrick Eggle Band, from Oswestry,
Harry Harris,
Matt Marriott,
Ed Crowley,
Charlotte Oram,
Libby Gliksman of Oswestry,
Zil Whiteway,
Frazer King of Manchester,
Echo Code from North Carolina,
Lisa Mills from Alabama, and more yet to be confirmed.

The festival will begin at 1pm and continue until 'late', the Advertizer will have all the latest news in the run up to the event.
